Known for their shape and bright green color. D'Anjou Pears are slightly sweet and juicy when ripe. They hold up well when heated making them great for all your culinary wants as well as sliced on a salad or snacking right out of the box. Unlike the Bartlett, D'Anjou pears do not change color when ripe. You may test for ripeness at the neck of the pear, by the stem, if there is a slight give it is ready to eat!
